Unlike our PDF and image tools, PDF to PowerPoint runs on our server, so the document leaves your device. Your PDF is converted in memory and never written to storage. Only the presentation is kept privately for up to an hour so you can download it, then deleted. No document text is stored or logged; the only name kept is the download name for your result, which is deleted with it.
What to expect from the presentation
Every page becomes one slide, in order, at your pages' own proportions, and the text lands in editable text boxes where it sat on the page. Pictures, drawn graphics, background colours and the original fonts are not carried over yet, so a text-led document converts far more faithfully than a designed brochure. Nothing is invented, and scanned PDFs have no text to place until text recognition arrives.

Convert a PDF into a real .pptx presentation you can open in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides. Every page becomes one slide, in the same order, at the page's own proportions — a portrait PDF gives portrait slides and a landscape PDF gives landscape slides, never stretched or cropped. The text is read with its position on the page and placed in editable text boxes where it sat in the PDF, so headings, columns, bullet lines and table rows stay where you expect them. It is built from the PDF itself, not routed through Word. Being honest about the limits: pictures, drawn graphics and background colours are not carried over yet, fonts fall back to a safe standard face, complex artwork won't be rebuilt, and because a deck can only have one slide size, a PDF that mixes portrait and landscape pages keeps the shape most pages share and centres the rest with a margin around them. Like our other server tools, the PDF is uploaded over HTTPS, converted in memory, never stored, and the presentation is held privately for up to an hour so you can download it, then deleted.
How it works
- 1Sign in to your free account, then choose a PDF of up to 10 MB and 50 pages; Pro raises that to 25 MB and 200 pages. The file is uploaded over HTTPS.
- 2We read each page's size and the position of every piece of text, then build one slide per page.
- 3The .pptx is checked before it's offered, then downloaded through a short-lived private link.
Frequently asked questions
- Will the slides look exactly like my PDF pages?
- The text does: it keeps its position, its relative size and the page's proportions, and it stays fully editable. What is not reproduced yet are pictures, drawn graphics, background colours and the original fonts, so a text-led document converts far more faithfully than a designed brochure.
- Do I get the right number of slides?
- Yes — exactly one slide per PDF page, in the original order, with nothing lost or duplicated. A blank page stays a blank slide rather than being dropped.
- What about pages of different sizes or rotated pages?
- A presentation can only have one slide size, so we use the size most of your pages share. Any page with different proportions is scaled to fit and centred, so nothing is cropped or squashed. Rotated pages are placed upright, the way a PDF reader shows them.
- Is the text editable?
- Yes. Each run of text becomes a normal PowerPoint text box you can retype, restyle or move. Nothing is flattened into a picture, and nothing is invented — only text the PDF actually contains appears on a slide.
- Does it work with scanned documents?
- Not yet. A scan is a picture of text, so there is nothing to place on a slide. You get a clear message rather than a deck of empty slides. Text recognition (OCR) is on the roadmap.
- Is my file uploaded?
- Yes — the PDF is uploaded over HTTPS and processed on our server. It is converted in memory and never written to storage; only the presentation is held privately for up to an hour so you can download it, then deleted. Download links are signed and expire after a couple of minutes.
