How to convert HEIC photos to JPG
Make iPhone photos open on any device by converting them to JPG.

Open HEIC to JPGWhat is a HEIC file?
HEIC (also called HEIF) is the photo format iPhones and iPads use by default. It stores photos at good quality in less space than JPG, which is why Apple chose it.
The catch is compatibility. Some Windows apps, older devices, websites and upload forms can't open HEIC photos, or reject them outright. JPG opens practically everywhere, so converting is the simplest fix.
Step by step
- 1Open HEIC to JPG and add one or more .heic or .heif photos, up to 25 MB each.
- 2Choose a quality: Standard for the smallest files, High for a balance, or Maximum to stay closest to the original.
- 3Convert. Each photo becomes a JPG with the same width and height.
- 4Download each JPG, or the whole batch as one ZIP file.
Converting on iPhone or iPad
Open convertora.online in Safari and open HEIC to JPG. Tap the upload area and choose your photos from the photo library or the Files app.
When you download, Safari saves the JPG through its normal download flow. Depending on your settings, you'll find it in Safari's Downloads list or the Downloads folder in the Files app. From there you can share it or save it to Photos.
Tip: when you share a photo by email or AirDrop, iOS sometimes converts it automatically. Convertora is useful when you need actual JPG files, for example to upload to a website.
On Windows, Mac or Android
The same page works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on a computer, and in Chrome on Android. Copy the HEIC photos from your phone or cloud storage, add them, and download the JPGs. No app or plug-in is needed.
Quality and size
JPG files are usually a little larger than the HEIC originals at the same visual quality. If the result is too large for an upload limit, choose Standard, or run the JPGs through Compress Image afterwards.
Common problems
A photo is refused: Convertora checks that the file really is a HEIC or HEIF photo before decoding it. Renamed or damaged files get a clear message instead of a broken JPG.
A photo is larger than 25 MB: that's above the per-photo limit. This is rare for normal phone photos.
Privacy
The decoder runs inside your browser, so your photos never leave your device and nothing is stored anywhere. That matters for personal photos and pictures of documents.
Stop your iPhone saving HEIC (optional)
If you always need JPGs, you can ask the iPhone to save new photos in JPG instead. Go to Settings → Camera → Formats and choose Most Compatible. New photos will take up more space, and photos you've already taken stay HEIC, so you'll still need a converter for those.
Many people keep HEIC to save space and convert only the photos they need to share or upload. That's what Convertora is for.
Frequently asked questions
Will the converted JPG keep its quality?
At Maximum quality the JPG stays very close to the original. Standard gives smaller files with slightly more compression.
Does converting change the photo's size?
No. The width and height stay exactly the same; only the file format changes.
Can I convert many photos at once?
Yes. Add several photos and download them together as a single ZIP file.
Can I put the photos into a PDF?
Yes. Convert them to JPG, then use JPG to PDF to combine them into one document.
